SWED: Galactic Conquest Mode

Updated: May 22, 2023

General Rules:

  • Select a Galaxy Map and either Quick Game or Full Game (see Winning Conditions below)

  • Each player chooses a faction (ie Rebels or Empire).

  • Each player selects 3 decks from their respective faction

  • Give each player 200 credits.

  • Place your Fleet Token on it's respective faction's starting planet (denoted by faction symbol) and place your faction's Control Token on your starting planet's Control circle.

  • Roll to decide which player moves their Fleet Token first.

  • Players may purchase Bonus Cards for their listed price or another deck of their choice for 1600 credits from the Shop with their credits on either player's turn prior to them moving their Fleet Token.

  • After each player has a chance to purchase bonuses or decks from the shop, the beginning player moves their Fleet Token one planet away along a dashed line to another planet (cannot move onto a planet occupied by the opponents Fleet Token). If the planet has the opposing faction's Control Token on it, they must attack and begin an Assault, otherwise, they can end their turn. The attacker chooses and reveals a map from the corresponding planet as well as which deck and Bonus Card (if available) they will use for the battle. Then the defender will choose which deck and Bonus Card (if available) they will use. With the attacker playing first, the players then conduct a regular Epic Duels battle with their selected decks, under the following special rules:

    • Either player may choose to surrender any time on their turn after each player has had the chance to complete 3 turns.

    • Players may play their chosen Bonus Card at any time (does not require an action) on one of their turns. It is then returned to the Shop.

  • Once the Assault battle has ended, the victor receives 500 credits while the loser receives 200 credits. If all characters from a deck were destroyed, that deck is removed from play.

    • If the attacking player was the victor, they place their Control Token on the planet (removing the opposing player's token if applicable).

    • If the attacking player loses, their fleet is destroyed. They must place their Fleet Token on a planet under their control. If they cannot, they lose the game.

  • Players will each take a turn consisting of moving and Assaulting. Once each player has completed a turn, the Round ends and players receive 200 credits for each planet under their control.

  • Damage received by characters is persistent between turns and battles throughout the Galactic Conquest game.

Winning Conditions:
